My name is Jason Baik and I am a Statistics major (Business Administration minor) at Carnegie Mellon University. Right now, I am working as a REU intern at George Mason University as part of their Undergraduate Research in Educational Data Mining program. In this blog, I will be writing about my data science journey through the programming language R, which convinced me to become a Statistics major.
In the Fall of 2017, I took four classes and had lots of time on my hands. Working on Hockey Analytics and Harvard’s Introduction to Data Science stil left me with some downtime (when there are no exams to study for!). As a result, I created my personal blog to document the steps I am taking to learn data science. I also hope my experience helps others to do the same!
I’ve created this blog using the R package blogdown and Hugo with the guidance of Yihui Xie’s Making Websites with R Markdown.
